You might have writer’s block, you might have an upcoming public speaking engagement, you might be feeling low about your creative ideas in general or you might be scared of talking on the phone.
Either way, this workshop is for you!
You might be feeling good about all those things and still get a lot out of attending.
Seymour will lead a series of interactive activities based their experience as a comedian. These are designed for you to overcome barriers to feeling, thinking and being confident, building on the everyday performances we all undertake. The event will be fun with participatory elements.
Come along, meet other artists, learn from an excellent facilitator, enjoy the activities and boost your confidence!

About Seymour
Seymour Mace (born 1969) is a British comedian, actor and artist. Born in 1969 in Jarrow, he moved with his family soon afterwards to South Africa as his father worked as a gold miner. They subsequently moved back to the UK.
He worked as a clown in the mid-1990s before becoming a stand-up comedian, he was a finalist at the So You Think You’re Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2001 and performed several shows at the Fringe, including Marmaduke Spatula’s Fuckin’ Spectacular Cabaret of Sunshine Show in 2013. In 2015 he was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award, for his show Seymour Mace is Niche as F**k!
Seymour played Steve (and his twin Craig) in the BBC sitcom Ideal between 2005-2010. In 2009, he starred in the horror comedy Zombie Women of Satan. He appeared in the second series of Hebburn as music producer Eric. In 2010, he appeared on Dave’s One Night Stand. He is also in the offbeat comedy film What Happened After Macbeth, which will be released in 2024.
