Elevate your digital presence in this beginner-friendly session with Meaghan Stewart. This session will provide a hands-on guide to documenting and sharing your work digitally. You will learn simple, jargon-free techniques for photographing your work and formatting images for sharing, whether online or in applications; creating personal websites using no-code design platforms; using social media effectively. If you opt to attend remotely, a member of staff will contact you on the day of the workshop with a Zoom link and more info about the session and a digital code of conduct. If attending in person, arrive by 10:45am for a prompt 11am start. This is an interactive session, and we encourage you to ask questions, share your suggestions, and actively participate in activities and discussions. If you prefer to listen, that’s perfectly fine too! This is a hybrid event and will take place both online and in real life. Meaghan Stewart (she/her) is the Communications Producer at the NewBridge Project leading and supporting all communications efforts. She works across print media, website, social media, and press outreach. She ensures that NewBridge’s diverse and exciting programmes reach and inspire new and existing audiences. Meaghan has a wealth of experience with marketing and communications experience in both the public and private sectors and a talent for creating compelling and influential content. Meaghan is passionate about merging technology with creativity. She explores the intersection of memory, fiction, and experience through practice-based research that incorporates photography, text, video, and digital technology. Her work examines the boundary between the real and the virtual, while also challenging traditional notions of home-making to promote innovative world-building. This event has been organised by The NewBridge Project (Newcastle) for the Kaleidoscope Network, a collaboration between Spike Island (Bristol), Primary (Nottingham), Bloc Projects (Sheffield) and Eastside Projects (Birmingham).
