R. H. Quaytman (b. 1961, Boston, MA. Lives and works in New York) Quaytman works across a variety of media including photography, silkscreen, collage and painting, and is interested in how to paint paintings that are 'not founded on [their] bounded oneness but contingent upon different structures, whether they be architectural, optical, historical, or biographical'. Quaytman is currently represented by Miguel Abreu Gallery and Vilma Gold Gallery. Recent exhibitions include Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Almine Rech Gallery, Brussels; The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; and Miguel Abreu Gallery, New York.
