Eastside Projects

Apply Now! Duplicate 2026

Duplicate Publishing Fair returns to Eastside Projects on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May, 12–5pm.

Duplicate 2026 invites artists, illustrators, zine makers and small-press publishers from Birmingham and beyond to congregate for two-days of DIY and indie publishing activity and distribution. The fair will welcome over 40 exhibitors in 2026 and a communal table will allow many more to share and sell their work.

Duplicate particularly encourages people, projects and works that address political and social issues to have a presence at the fair, especially in the face of increasing censorship in the arts.

Over the two days, a programme of free talks and workshops will invite people to explore self-publishing and to get involved. The fair is free to attend and open to all!

Duplicate is currently run by Print and Matter with support from OOMK and students from BA Illustration at Birmingham City University

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 15 March 2026, midnight. Applicants will be notified of an outcome by 28 March.

Please note, as a publishing fair, applicants who make and sell zines, publications, comics and/or artist books will be prioritised.

FREE COMMUNAL TABLE There will be a communal table for people with 1-2 zine titles to sell their zines without any exhibitor fees. Duplicate will manage the table. If you wish to participate, you do not need to contact us in advance, just drop off your zines to the communal table (up to 2 titles, maximum 5 copies of each) at Eastside Projects at 11.30am on Saturday May 30. A member of the Duplicate team will record how many copies you drop off and the price. Sales money and any unsold zines must be collected by 5pm on Sunday May 31. Any uncollected money/zines will be donated to Duplicate. The communal table will be cash only.
