Taking its cue from its Production Show surroundings, Summer Camp aimed to be a space for practicing the critical skills artists need to develop new work; observing, reflecting and reworking.

Monday 25 July – Thursday 4 August ESP Summer Camp bursary awardees work in the gallery to develop and present new work.

Thursday 28 July 2–5pm At the end of the first week, the selected ESP'ers plus ESP Programmer run crits on the works in progress in the space, practicing giving and getting feedback.

Thursday 28 July 6.30–8.30pm There is No Script for This

Friday 29 July Lunch Club: participants reflect on their projects over a packed-lunch with other ESP members.

Saturday 30 July, set up 10am-1pm, crits 2-5pm Summer Camp 2016 Turbo Crits

Monday 1 August – Thursday 4 August Any ESP member who would like to contribute to Summer Camp adds their work to the mix; taking over the main gallery and presenting moving image works on a show reel in gallery 2. Read more about moving image submissions

Thursday 4 August 7–9pm Potluck supper with curators and art practitioners from Birmingham.

Friday 5 August All work was shown at a public presentation on Friday 5 August as part of Digbeth First Friday.
