ESP/Grand Union Book Club meets every other month in Birmingham to read together and discuss texts that are suggested by the members.

Grand Union and ESP have been running Book Club since September 2013, exploring a range of texts on various themes.

Book Club has a self generated, open process that allows the thematic focus to shift according to the contributions and interests of the members. It’s held in various locations in Birmingham on Monday evenings.

21 November 2017, 6.30pm The Sack of Potatoes pub, 10 Gosta Green, Birmingham B4 7ER Reading the final chapter from Rings of Saturn with special guest Dr Uwe Schutte. Dr Schutte was Sebald’s only PhD student, and is the author of several books on his work.
